Why I like it: The Davis vineyard was planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1957. The 2019 vintage was a little cooler than the 2018 and the resulting Davis cabernet is well balanced and poised. Oak is predominantly seasoned [has been used previously] and so the tannins are very well integrated. A classic wine built for the ages, but drinks so well now.
