Why I like it: This is a classic fortified style that we would have called Port before the EU agreement. A blend of mainly shiraz and grenache, with some mataro and other red varieties thrown in, the solera [where the wine merges old and young wine] has an average age of 20 years. Wonderfully rich, sweet and luscious to drink.
