Why I like it: This iconic cool climate vineyard was planted near Henty in 1964 and Riesling was one of the first varieties planted. Considered early as being too marginal for consistent high grade wine, in the last 15 years this vineyard has now become one of the countries most unique single sites, especially for Riesling. This wine is typically austere but packed full of flavour. It has wonderful weight in the mouth and a defined and well structured purity through the mouth. History says this wine will look good for up to 20 years. worth buying a 6-pack and "forgetting" about it.
