Why I like it: Although Coonawarra is best known for the amazing cabernet sauvignon it produces, it is shiraz that actually prospered best early in the region's wine history. Many of the oldest vineyards in the area are shiraz and this wine benefits from some of them. Medium bodies, spicy and slightly savoury. Now hitting its drinking window.
